RASANT 700C

When we started working with Natalie and Matthias from @steelfightsback on this project last winter, we didn't really have a clear idea of what we wanted. We just knew that Natalie wanted a bike for longer bikepacking tours with design references from past decades. We also wanted the bike to be perfectly tailored to her proportions and preferences.

Like pretty much everything else on the bike, the bags are custom-made and were expertly crafted by Dyedinthewool. The bike and bag set is both practical and personalised. We hope you have many more happy moments on the bike, and we're grateful that you took us along on this journey.

Frame

Columbus LIFE tubing and One-Off 3D-printed dropouts keep the weight down to below 1700g. The internal brake lines and the classic BSA bottom bracket with a 1 1/8" head tube create a sleek silhouette.

Paint

The paintwork was definitely the most complex part of this project. The final design, which beautifully depicts the various stages of Natalie's life, took several months to complete. It wouldn't have been possible without the help and professional work of Dany.

Boxcrown Fork

It's a design inspired by the FAT Chance, but with a modern twist. So, our plan was to mix straight fork legs with the iconic box crown. This and the internal cable routing meant we had to print the fork crown from stainless steel as well.

Stem

A mix of traditional craftsmanship and 3D-printed parts was also used here. It was complemented with the faceplate from PAUL Comp. The cable routing is also internal here.
